The rifle was based on the g36. It's made for the mexican army, and rare to see outside mexico

Really? It looks just like the XM8. Huh, I guess maybe there's different versions or something. Or maybe they changed the name. *Shrug.*

The XM8 never made it to service. The FX-05 is made in mexico for the mexican army.
