I was seeing seas opening to a land or something equally dramatic , then read your describtion .. many times i have thought that boards i use under the paintings when working look better than paintings themselves

I had that quite a few times.. spending hours painting and at the end the underlayer or newspaper or even occasionally paint-covered hands look better than what I was trying to paint.
The workspace has several sides, here's number 3 and number 2 might be in my featured somewhere.Β Β ra-bird.deviantart.com/art/Worβ¦

(smile) hmmm... some of my best works were completely unintentional... it's a happy moment to discover you've made something good without any intention or notice ...
you've made a huge progress with your art since you start it few months ago...

same here, either digital or otherwise..
Thanks I've seen so many Art last few months, I did not have that influence when I painted before..
when I joined dA I was hardly painting,
too busy thinking up titles and cropping and such.. and unraveling dA to some extent
only made a few paintings on canvas this year..

I've often thought I should photograph the newspaper or whatever I'm using to cover the table while I'm painting, because sometime the colours there look like a painting by themselves.

when in doubt you should I think, or you could scan it, or make something new from the paper..
You wouldn't have to post them per se..
It would be interesting to recognize one single painting by the paper you made it on..
I don't use newspapers, they always get stuck to the paper with me..

That's a good idea. I'll keep it in mind. I have been toying with the idea of creating a collage from those papers.

Yeah, I can't throw them away for some reason. Maybe I like them too much.
