"One, two, thee, four. One, two three, four." I whispered to myself as I counted the waddles that it would take to get back to my bedroom. Choking back the vomit it took three groups of four steps and some angry loud moans before I had arrived. With a sigh I flopped down on to my bed and kept my eyes on the clock.

Two more minutes.

I grabbed my bloated tummy and rubbed it gently as the nausea slowly left me and my stomach shrank back down to where it belonged and my abdominal muscles reappeared. It was eleven o'clock and I really hated morning sickness.

"Hello hot stuff," I chuckled as I stood up again and scribbled down in my notebook that Kelcie's little boy had gone back home where he belonged once again. Exactly a twelve hour stay. "Hmm, so the time he stays seem to be pretty solid." I took note of this because it was the fourth time I had borrowed my aunt's baby and the pattern was obvious. Kelcie was about seven and a half months along and Toby was large for his age.

It's easy to see that I hated to let him go but I had to jog tomorrow and wasn't interested in actually keeping my aunt's child forever. Summer vacation was just beginning and it was time to get my head on straight. But my aunt comes in every weekend to visit my mother and sometimes I can't help myself.

"ALEXIS!! GET DOWN HERE!!!" My mother interrupted my thoughts and yelled from the kitchen.

My eyes went wide as I jumped up and hurried to my bedroom door. I stopped dead in my tracks when I realized that I had forgotten my bracelet on my desk. I scurried back over and grabbed it before dashing down the stairs.

When I made it to the kitchen the bracelet was on my wrist and I was almost standing at attention when I murmured, "Yes Momma?"

"Aren't you going to tell your auntie good bye?" Mom smiled sweetly as Kelcie walked around the corner and I caught a glimpse of her belly as she tightened up her over coat to fit around her gravid middle section. Then I walked over to hug her and told her goodbye.

"Now you be a good girl okay, Lexi? You're going to be such a good mommy." Kelcie smiled as she re-tightened her coat in an annoyed fashion, as if asking herself why she hadn't tightened it properly before.

"Thank you Kelcie." I smiled, running my hands over my new bulge of a tummy where her baby boy was sleeping soundly. Okay, so I couldn't help myself.

"She's right you know?" My mother told me as she gave me a sweet hug and sent me off to bed, reminding me that Toby and I needed rest.

I smacked my forehead with my palm as I sat down on my bed.

"You are so blindly impulsive sometimes." I groaned out loud, placing a hand on my stomach. I will be pregnant for my next twelve hours. If I get up at six then I will be pregnant until at least lunch time. So I have to go running pregnant.

I angrily slipped off the bracelet that gave me this odd power; it was covered in white beads and every time I borrowed a pregnancy a bead changed to blue or pink, signifying the gender of the child. So far there were seven blue beads and a 23 white ones. Laying the bracelet on my desk I picked up my journal and documented the latest heist.

Don't get me wrong, I love being pregnant, it has always been one of my wildest dreams but I'm worried about the magic. Every time I borrow Toby reality alters.

I kick back and sleep starts to over come me. Toby has always been a sweet little sleeping buddy.
