I awoke with a start and patted my huge stomach with my right hand as I helped myself up with my left. I let out a groan as I stumbled over to my closet and picked up my favorite purple tank top. It was one of the only maternity items that I owned. I bought it big so that It would easily fit a woman ready with twins I saw its now displayed new tag reading "Maternity." I smiled to myself and pulled out my journal as I put on a pair of black shorts. I slowly jotted down that today I was going to see if I could handle multiple babies.

Throwing a book, my keys, my phone, my camera, my journal, and the bracelet into the bag, I zipped it shut and waddled down the stairs.

"Momma! I'm going to the park!" I called as I grabbed a water bottle.

"Okay honey! Be careful with Toby! Don't over exert yourself!" She called after me but I barely heard her because I was already hop-walking to catch the bus.

I had slept right through my alarm and my mother had turned it off for me so I was getting a later start than I wanted. My goal was six AM but I ended up sleeping until nine thirty and I didn't arrive at the park until about fifteen after ten. At this point I only had a little over an hour to get Toby a room mate or I was going to have to start from scratch.

When I arrived at the park I hop-walked over to a bench and began people watching. I had already given up on running when I saw that my fastest speed was what we've been calling "hop-walking." So I got right down to my mission, looking out for another pregnant woman because I was ready to find Toby a friend.

Twenty minutes, two chapters, and zero text messages later my opportunity went power walking past me. I smiled as I gathered my things and hurried to catch up with the two heavily pregnant blondes that were only about ten feet ahead of me. As I hobbled along I caught a bit of their conversation.

"Oh my gosh Myia! I felt Anabelle kick!" The first giggled as the second one stopped abruptly and placed her hand on her friend's tummy.

"That's so cute!" She laughed as I finally reached them.

"Excuse me ladies, may I ask how far along you are?" I asked as I took the second woman's hand and willed her baby to enter me.

"We're both two weeks ovaaaa...." The lady grunted and reached for me as I was quickly over powered and knocked right onto my butt. I let out a small moan and my bracelet added two new pink beads. I blinked awkwardly as two beautifully skinny blondes helped me stand up.

"Are you okay?!" They both gasped at the same time. I grabbed my giant gut and smiled. The second girl was still touching her friend's belly when I took her baby so I got both of them. I was now heavily laden with triplets.

"How far along are you?" One of them asked.

"I'm very overdue, could pop at any second." I moaned as they helped me sit on a bench nearby. I didn't know how I knew that but I did, and it scared me.

"I'm so jealous! My husband and I have been trying for a baby for so long!" The other one pouted.

"That's nice. Now if you'll excuse me," I smiled as I struggled to find my center of gravity to walk away.

"I want a baby!!" I heard one of the girls whine as I waddled awkwardly away.
