Description
This is a colored version of lineart from my new coloring book, Dragon Adventure II . It's a variation on a much older drawing. I thought the colors thematically appropriate for Mothers' Day (or at least I know they're ones that my mom enjoys.
)Photoshop. I'm starting to miss my colored pencils, but I am also having a lot of fun with that gradient tool...

Alright, kidding aside, your skills never fail to impress, mesmerize and scare me. I'm sure it always feels like a big accomplishment every time you finished a majestic, detailed and gorgeous piece like this. Wow. I also have to say that I really love the oriental/eastern vibe that I get from this piece.

Thank you very much for your compliments on this piece. I don't do a lot of digital color work (and I'm REALLY simplistic about how I do it), so it's wonderful to see that someone really enjoys the efforts.

It doesn't take nearly as long when I'm using the gradient tool in Photoshop as it does when I use colored pencils. This was just a fun, short exercise for playing with color.
