Description
This is still a work-in-progress. There's still a long way to go - it needs to be cut out and mounted, and it needs shiny bits and small, polished stones at the very least! I wanted to preserve most of the watercolor background this time, so I used the design as a framing element to contain the dragons. It is off-center on purpose. Once I mount the design on its final board, I will have elements on the top, outside the circle, to balance it out. Trust me, I'm an artist! 😘

This is a "failed commission" that has been sitting on the pile for about ten years. I don't remember much about the commission or why it fell through, other than the commissioner wanted three elemental dragons in either a triangular or circular configuration. (I have the circular configuration that I'll color up later - I wanted to work on the triangular one first.)

Under all that color is an ink drawing. Atop that is watercolor. The dragons have been colored with Prismacolor pencils. The geometric design is gold acrylic outlined in Prismacolor pencil.
