I was trying to draw a regular-style Marill and ended up with this instead o_x?Here it's pretty much a sort of a blue, rabbity, muskrat thing. The tail is basically a stretchy coiled tube with a fur-covered balloon at the end. I imagine there's some sort of oil gland at the base of the tail that it fills the balloon with, so it can float it as described in the PokΓ©dex.

Marrill's gotta be a really tough pokemon to make sense of, but you did it! It kinda reminds me of a pika (that's the mountain-dwelling lagomorph, not the first part of the electric pokemon's name). That tail seems so bizarre and surreal, yet it kinda works. I first thought it would make more sense for it to be bald, because it swims, and then my home country's national animal waved a big, stinkin' hello, so I won't say that.
...Though I still wouldn't expect something round to be the swiftest of swimmers... Squirtle must not be all that athletic to be beat by this thing!
