Name: Zenith (Zee-neth)

Race: Half Dragon (Black Shadow Dragon)

Age: 20

Height: 6’2

Weight: 189

Sex: Male

Appearance: Zenith has the appearance of a black half dragon. His legs arms and face are covered in dark black scales. His chest, lower abdomen, tail underside and bottom of his feet are covered in a lighter gray scale. His hands and dragonoid feet end in black claws. He has two black horns on the top of his head and has black tendrils with gold bands on them streaming down to his shoulders. Towards the side of his head right near his horns are two narrow long ears. Towards the back of his jaw he has small black horn nubs. His left arm has a light yellow tribal tattoo that seems to be a seal of some sort. His tail is tipped with a spear blade which he can use to slash or impale enemies. His build is that of a lean but toned fighter.

Personality: Zenith’s personality can be described as somewhat rowdy. Generally, he will keep to himself, but he won’t shy away from a snide remark if someone challenges or threatens him. He’s not afraid to fight if it comes down to it and won’t back down from a challenge. Although he may come off as abrasive or harsh he’s actually a nice person. Generally, if he runs into younger adventurers he’ll often discourage them from missions that he deems to dangerous often calling them weak. This actually comes from his time growing up in the orphanage and taking on the role of big brother to many of the orphans. He comes off as rude and disparaging but this is because deep down he doesn’t want to see any of them get hurt or killed. It’s a sort of big brother/tough love approach. Asking him about his past will often irritate him since he does not know and he’ll most likely just walk away from the conversation.

Background: Zenith does not have many memories of his past. In fact he barely remembers any of his teenage years or anything before that. He’s been searching for clues as to who he is and where he has come from. He essentially grew up in an orphanage obviously standing out compared to the other kids that he grew up with. What’s odd is that it all felt unreal to him. He knows he did grow up with the other children since he remembers all their names and faces as well as the adults that cared for them, but it’s as if something important was removed. He always felt like something was missing from these memories. Once he was of age he left the orphanage to search for clues. One odd thing that always stood out is the unique seal on his left arm and the mask that he has strapped to his hip. The seal actually hides his prescence from his father but he is not aware that this is it’s purpose. It was inscribed by his mother to keep him safe. Apparently when he was left at the orphanage it was with him and if anyone ever took it would disappear after a few seconds and then appear at his side again. The mask appears to be bound to him and even high-ranking mages are unable to remove it. When he puts on the mask it seems to unlock dormant power within him drastically increasing his offensive power, however he cannot wear it for extended periods of time without it causing extreme fatigue. “When I put it on it feels good but not in a good way if that makes sense. Its….intoxicating to wield that kind of power and the longer I wear the mask the more I feel myself slipping”. While equipped his shadow powers become fully unlocked coating him in shadow armor and causing him to sprout black shadow wings. In his travels one night he ran into a mage. She never identified herself, but she hinted that she did know who he was. The only information that he was given was that his father was apparently a ancient Black shadow dragon hence his appearance and powers, but it is unknown who his mother was. Before he could follow up with more questions the mage disappeared.

Zenith is quite good at hand to hand combat and prefers to get in close when fighting enemies. Despite his build he is a lot stronger than he appears and can easily out muscle larger fighters. He takes a chaotic neutral approach to most situations but generally lives by the rule “If you don’t mess with me than I wont mess with you”.

Abilities:

Shadow manipulation: Zenith is able to manipulate shadows to a certain degree. He can hide within them and even use “shadow step” which allows him to slip in and out of them. He can also form blades made out of shadows.

Shadow Mask: The unique item that was given to him from birth. Wearing it seems to unlock his true potential but this is only for a limited time. The mask can be put on or simply summoned to his face with a wave of his hands. It also grants additional skills/abilities”

-super strength

-enhanced speed/agility

-enhanced durability

-Shadow armor: Covers portions of body in shadowy armor

-Shadow wings: Sprouts shadow wings from back that allow for flight and can also be used to block

Acid Breath weapon

Clairvoyance: This ability seems to trigger a few seconds before an event happens. The timing unfortunately is random but generally it occurs before something dangerous happens.

Prehensile bladed tail: Can be used like a whip, weapon or to grab things.
