Pointless fact: in Gen 1 the Dragon's supper effective against itself is entirely unused because the only Dragon move in the game is Dragon Rage which does fixed damage that does not vary in regard to type effects.
That's the funny thing about pokemon that size disparity doesn't really matter much in fights, so a giant monster can fall to a mouse if the cards are stacked right, but I like Rainbow's method better ;3

Out Of all the type effectivity thing, fairy and dragon types make the least sense to me. Like, logically speaking, water can put out fire, fire can burn plants and plants can absorb water (etc etc) but a fairy vs a dragon? Honestly, a dragon could completely own a fairy, in every culture the two feature in.
all the dragon has to do is breathe fire or take a bite and bye bye tinkabel, your a goner. What can a fairy do? Use a little magic, IN EVERY CULTURE EVER, PAST OR PRESENT, A DRAGON USALLY HAS A MAGIC COUNTERING EFFECT THING TO IT (dragons are op, what you expect?). FAIRIES ARE WEAK AND NEED A HUMAN TO HELP THEM WIN THINGS (so a trainer I guess in this case).

Actually, in folklore, fairies were known to be tricksters, kidnap newborns, and kill people by tricking them, transforming them, suffocating them, and etc.Β They could become as big as a human, and if you didn't offer up some food to them...Β You were dead.Β And they were full out magic users.Β They literally would KIDNAP SUMMER, and that's why winter existed.
Disney threw that out the window.Β So actually study your facts before saying that all fairies are tinkerbell.
Also - Fairy type was literally made TO BALANCE OUT DRAGON TYPE.Β And plus, Fairies would actually own dragons in some cases of legends, but those are super rare.
