yeah. i had problims with pencil that wouldnt rub out, so i went for a more traditonal comic book style with only hard black and white(which got rid of the pencil)

since then ive brought better pens and am hopefuly geeting better. i hope

yeah i know how those pencils can be. oh my...
well see in my figure drawing class, mr. ross makes us use some 8B graphite sticks and we've used A LOT of willow/vine charcoals of all washes...frankly my charcoal likes to smear and be all grr, so i always have fixtives to keep it from doing such.
yes comic book style, i am a fan of very much so, only because i collect and read comics xD
do you draw anime and manga styles? i've done it, just not much, i think i should write one out and make one, then post it...
pencil isn't always the best to work with but when doing that i use led pencil. what you do if you want a smearing effect or to make something filled nicely on shading, just simply take a paper towl or another piece of paper fold it the to the size needed for ur comfort and press lightly on the area and you get nice shading. i've done it a ton, especially with pastels. better than the hand because of the oils of your hands that can ruin ur art piece in some ways. >.< well i'm sure you're getting better, just keep working on it. i suggest explore mix media typing, that's always interesting and brings different effects of the works. i personally am a fan of mix media working and such. wow i typed alot.

thanks for the tips! i love drawing in manga style,ive even started writing dojinshi and manga. but i never seem to finish them... i get bored halfway through and start a new one! its sorta lame. i think ive got...6 or 7 in process.

hey np! ahh yeah me too, i've drawn animes but not the best at it..my friend carrison is beast at it, im like "d00d i envy you!" lol but yeah its fun.
ahh i've done the same with my writings. i love to write poetry and such.
right now, i've been working on my own fantasy series for 4 years.
on my 7th book, each is more than like 2 thousand pgs long and 100 or more chapters each.
i love to write, its a passion of mine.
i've started stuff and never finished it too, it is lame but it happens...
