I think it'd be too sticky D; I don't think you could even flatten it out to cut.
And for the taste... hrm. It would probably taste like honey nuked with cinnamon.

I don't know how old your students are, but I'm sure they can handle it :D
I don't think anybody in my class ate it when we made these back in grade school. And this was 3rd grade with the occasional glue-eaters. :)

3rd grade was ALMOST a decade ago and you're feeling old?! Dear gods!!! XD 12th grade was almost a decade ago for me. Oy.....
I remember making these in grade school but ours were much thinner. I don't think they curled a whole lot, but I don't know if it's because my teacher used a different recipe or she baby sat them to keep them from curling.... >.>

Haha, I just didn't realize that was that long ago D; No offense to the older artists! x)
Yeah D: I don't recall any cinnamon ornaments curling back when we made these in class. ...which is weird, because I'm almost certain that's the way my teacher made it.
I guess they used some sort of magic on them :[ Everyone knows teachers know magic. (That's how they can always see you dozing off in the corner Dx )

*lol* No offense taken. Just thought it was really funny.
Yeah....Must be....Perhaps we should abduct one and make them give up their anti-cinnamon ornament curling techniques.... >.> And THEN we shall rule the world!!!!! MMWHAHAHAHA!!!! .....Or just make flatter ornaments......

Oh! I remember making these back in grade school too! We still have them, and my gingerbread one was kind of plain. I didn't like the idea of putting stuff on it, since all I wanted to do was hold and smell it.

RainCookie In reply to lupindrake [2009-12-17 11:52:36 +0000 UTC]
Haha, yeahh :)
They smell so good I love the smell of cinnamon!
I don't like putting acrylic on them 'cause the paint masks the smell :( And they smell too good to be masked up like that

Yeah, it seems like a lot of people have done this in their childhood (elementary school, mostly)
I'm wondering why it's becoming a lost art D;

I made these in school too! I don't even want to think about how long ago that was...14 years maybe? I think they broke a few years ago, but that probably has more to do with how we store our ornaments.

RainCookie In reply to bluecatqueen [2009-12-17 11:57:59 +0000 UTC]
lol yeah they're a bit fragile D; Very similar to cookies. I'm surprised my ornaments from 3rd grade aren't falling apart. Apparently our teacher made some really good ornament dough? haha :)
