Description Crestheads are omnivorous tentaculopods found mostly in slow-flowing rivers and lakes. Their first two pairs of smelling knobs evolved into dexterous tentacles they use for manipulating food. Their heads reach over their short, powerful jaws and sport distinctive head crests, which serve for communication and display. Crestheads live in small groups, searching the river groung for food.

Inverse fisher: A rather unusual cresthead that lives solitary and adapted to a predatory livestyle. It swims upside-down at the surface and lures pneumonopteres with its second pair of tentacles, then catches them with its elongated lower jaws.
Clappercrab: A species which lives in murky waters and uses its tentacles additionally for orientation. Its crest is underdeveloped and it communicates by clapping its jaws instead.
Water amphisbena: Usual livestyle, but unusual form, which serves for distracting predators. To make their front and rear even more unclear they move often backwards.

WARNING! Don't spread stupid chain letters! Or you will be violated by a horde of garden gnome leather daddies if you only considered copypasting a chainletter into a comment section!

hmmm, looks kind of like a weird mixup of some kind of shrimp and those little Coryadors catfish they sell in pet stores. Pretty neat though.

It's nice to see some more complex life. Do these guys have any and living relatives?

Currently there is only planned a taxon living in fast-flowing streams, a bit similar to plecostomes. But maybe I'll come up with other relatives, who knows.

So the fish used to have tentacles, I see. Nowadays, I only see few species with tentacles. Really great illustration, A-Tur.

Those are hypothetical designs of alien lifeforms, not prehistoric animals.

I see. But I'd like to see one for real, really. Interesting subject, A-Tur.
