Guy I did for Dominance war 2007 in school.
followed the various guidelines of said contest.
8994 tris, 2048x2048 maps, diffuse, norms, incandescence and some spec.
pretty fun overall, didn't enter this year though...

oh, he's called sacrifice because he comes from a race of goat people who shun magic, and when he learns that their idol is in fact an ancient magical weapon they label him a heretic and prepare to sacrifice him. He accidentally panics and unleashes the ancient weapon, killing his people and fusing with the relics remains..
..He's pretty bummed about the whole incident in general.
