March 2017
The day I was deemed “useless” was hard to swallow. It was to costly to keep me repaired. So I stayed in the sheds. The other engines felt bad for me, know I’ll probably be scraped by the end of it. Edward and Gordon often comfort me at night. Molly had to take the Kipper for now on, I don’t mind, I never liked the smell of fish.

November 2017
The air grew colder and my engine became frozen. Luckily my driver and fireman would often come. I just hope I can bare the freezer that is winter.

February 2018
Winter was done, but I still felt miserable. They tried to fix me. Nothing helped.

July 2018
The heat makes my firebox want to rattle. I could just forget about a long run…I miss the forest.

June 2021
Almost 3 years and I’m still in this rubbish shed. I’ve talked with the Fat Controller. Unfortunately I can’t be keep anymore, I’ll be sent for scrap next week. To Thomas, Gordon, Percy, Edward, James, and Emily. You have all been the best friends I’ve ever had and I’ll miss you, all of you.

July 2021
I did it, I finally escaped. It took a while, but I could move, slightly. Me the driver and fireman went out for one last night out. We soon arrived at the forest, my favorite place on Sodar. Edward was their with the breakdown crane. Edward was practically crying, but had enough in him to say goodbye. As I was lowered in between some trees I was told if I wanted to live, I’d reman here in hiding. As Edward left, I started to greve. This couldn’t have been the end for me, but it looked like their was no other choice.

August 2021
My driver and fireman visited one last time, as they have gotten new shifts. And as a month went by, I think I like my forest even better, than before. Thank you John and Ted, you were the best…Goodbye
