(You may full view at any time.)I was in the midst of downloading some new music for my playlist and suddenly I just had the inspiration to draw me some crazy.
At first I was Interested in drawing Zim and DIb just cruizin through space with a few nonsensical items floating about. Then It just kinda deformed into whatever happened here.
My guess is that they were on a premeditated date that was fantastically delicious until the death bee rained on there parade. But hey, Zim seems to be having the best time of his disappointing and soon to be short alien life.
Its just got to be that brief moment right before Zim realizes hes actually in the ship Dibs crashing.
Anyway.
This is easily my newest fav in my gallery. not just because Its the newest but iv been dieing for something with a bit of bloody death ever since my request to add blood into a platform game I'm commissioned to do was denied. So much unfulfilled desire... Of course there's things I don't like. Good example is the fire, I have never been good at drawing fire and thought I may have been doing well this time round till I realized you aren't supposed to squint your eyes when looking at it.
Also, I would like to add that I drew this in two forms. This one, and then another staged in daylight hours. It took me ages to decide which one i liked better. Not because they were equally fantastic but because I had them hit a crossing guard for my enjoyment and that seemed a very strange thing to do in the night hours so I thought to try change it to day but I chose to go with the sexy look rather than the one that makes sense. Yep, that's the type of person I have become.
Such horror and shame... Like a newborn giraffe..

I don't even know, why Dib is willing to take a ship trip with Zim and it seems he regrets that now xD
It looks like there is an autopilot in charge, which is preferring to hurt humans or programmed to do so.
Anyhow, at least their're spending some time together and having fun (at least Zim)
Also a body crushed very... unfavorable again the Voot's windshield and Zim is still lauging himself to death at that poor human.
Maybe it was a schoolmate, waiting for the bus at the stop sing the get home kinda late or trying to cross the street.
You've made a very good job at Dibs face here; it says he got a permanent trauma for his life
It must be a really fast speed, because of that flames, coating the Voot pretty nice
Btw: I prefer this night version of the pic, because the colour of the sky fits perfectly to the ship's own, and the small flames here and there are lightening enough for this scene; a good contrast to the sky.

Eeeeyup, this is probably the best thing I've seen in a while. I can't describe how hard I laughed when I discovered the tiny silhouette of a once living school crossing guard back there. Oh my sides... Oh god, I enjoyed that too much. Serves him right for being out at such strange hours!
Seriously though, you did a great job with executing your idea. I loved the added humor elements. Zim's face is in perfect contrast to Dib's panicked state. Their expressions are spot-on and in-character!
The color scheme you went with is actually great. The orange tones of the fire stand out nicely against their complementary purple counterparts on the ship. Speaking of the ship, your subtle impression of reflections was effective without going overboard with detail. Overall the style is very uniform and nothing stands out to me as odd or out-of-place.
Lastly, I wanna say that the transparent cutout effect is very creative and engaging. The whole thing looks like a giant cloud that they've just torn through, and I'm seeing into the world of chaos they've created together.
Lovely job, definitely saving this for laughs later. Thanks for making my morning a good one!

You probably, maybe have no idea how much I've craved some good feedback like this. Within the first 0.8 seconds I had thought perhaps I was gifted with a poorly placed chain message.
I'm really glad my work has created such a positive effect for you. I threw in some new ideas with this one and though I felt It fit together nicely myself Its very pleasing to have my exact intentions for the image relayed back to me by another individual. May I add that the deceased crossing guard silhouette taking less than 3 mins to draw is still my most fav part of the picture. Its like the punch line or.. something.
