Description
I still smell like this deer from hunkering down in the ground all around it take pictures. The way its neck was angled was very beautiful, and the fact that half of it still looked alive was just amazing. In fact, the blood was still wet in a few spots of its rib cage. I found the place where it must have colapsed; big mess of fur and the ground was still soaked in blood. I'm thinking it got hit by the train, seeing as there was blood all over the hole in the fence by the train tracks; I reckon it got hit, staggared a few feet through the fence, colapsed, and died. Then the park management drove it up to the dumping area, which consisted of 4 other similar dismembered deer in various stages of decay. A little bleak.
