Seriously what a great looking cockroach! I'm assuming it gravid female because it was just so beastly fat (she was skittish so I didn't flip and sex). Caught this beauty on the docks down in Florida. As a vegan, I'm not one to go fishing nor approve of it, so while my friends hooked sharks, I had fun IDing some of the roaches on the dock. This one fell in a guy's soda cup, but he was a good sport about it - noticed me following roaches and called me over to have a look. She was a BIG girl, as you can see from her perch on my forearm. I believe based on the head markings & coloration that she's just a regular 'ol American Cockroach. They can get pretty darned big and there was an abundance of fish and old food at the docks for them to get huge and healthy on.
