photo reference sometimes, but since I've been doing this a few decades, that now it becomes just natural...but I highly suggest studying anatomy books to start.

god i love power girl pics! shes just got something that all those other super girl types dont....and im NOT talking about her bust, theres just something classier about her, she is definalty my fav female DC character....flash takes the crown in my book lol champion image man, love it

awesome pencilling. I do wonder if you still draw with guidelines before finishing a pencil. Is it already your second nature? or does it just take practice?

It depends really - most of the time I do still draw the guidlines on the face - since to me, that is the selling point - especially the eyes - everything else is secondary....but yes I still draw, and erase quite a bit - that's why I use a harder lead while sketching - leaves lighter lines.
