I entered an otaku desk competion, so I decided to enter after reorganizing my room and moving many of my Japanese manga and light novels into the shelf on my desk.I really like the fact that my books are on my desk in front of me. It lets me take a break from the computer when I've been on it all day long, and grab a book to relax and read.

Wow, looking back.. my desk was so nice and organized. Now there is a huge piano keyboard on it and it's full of figures and manga. It still looks nice and very otaku-like but the book shelf is no longer as accessible as it used to be.
