This page was a challenge. A real challenge.
The whole fight scene thing is very new to me. And most of the logistics were a thing. I used a new art program for panels, I experiemented with different types of effects, and I rewrote the script a couple of times. I ended up doing this twice. And damn... I wanted to make the fight kinda hokey and humorous to reference the dynamic between the two, and contrast...well...things.
I hope I succeeded in that.
But I like the way it turned out. I really do. And I hope you guys do too. Even after more of my terrible cliffhangers. :0)
I also think that that's the most on-model portrait of Jason I've drawn since I started this. Humans are getting better!Β
(Edit: I changed Silver's nose size. It was a bit too big. Nobody prolly noticed but me, but YOU KNOW WHAT?!?!?!)

I really love how dynamic this fight is!! It's really playful, since the two are doing this more out of a fun spar than anything. Also, the backgrounds and Pokemon are super on-point. Like, wow, am I jealous.

Your Pokemon look like they could come from some official Pokemon promotional comic or something, they're just really on-model and proportional and I really love it.
Oh, I've been trying my best to improve with Pokemon and backgrounds, but it's an uphill battle. And you've improved a lot in your nuzlocke on these things, which I find super cool and it gives me hope :'D

Hard ass work pays off. It really does. That's literally the entire reason I started the 'locke in the first place. Practice with a purpose and meaning behind it goes much farther than just simply practice, I feel.

This is brilliant, best fight scenes I have seen between two starters, and one of the better battle fight scenes I have seen great job, definitely worth the 2 month wait. The humor is what made this battle special for me, the friendly rivalry helped too, although I wonder how you are doing to deal with things when Pokemon start dying/getting darker, that could really make or break this Nuzlocke. I personally believe you will do a great job, so I have nothing to worry about.
Also I really hope you nail the world building there are so many questions left unanswered and they are driving me crazy, but I am sadly going to have to wait.Β Β

Yeah man, I try. I want every page to be a mark of improvement on something. Whether it be anatomy, composition, coloring, w/e. And I'm super hard on myself before and after every update. But I'm pretty sure all artists are like that.
I just struggle drawing them on-model. I practice anatomy and such, and it all got better and whatnot. But I started this comic without a character ref or turnaround, and so it was always super inconsistant until page four when everybody went through a redesign. And then it's just been a case of being on model. I just need to really nail down as many angles as I can.
