If that's how your AP Art teacher treats the subject, it's because she's a Teacher rather than an Artist. Everyone is original in how they convey their own little quirks and passive personal traits into their art. An artist recognizes and respects this fact, teachers are repulsed by it.

Yeah, that's probably it. Along with the fact that he has to deal with a hundred some highschoolers a day, I guess that would make a lotta people crabby.
I personally would love being an art teacher, I mean really, what do you do? Buy supplies?

Buy some paint and colored pencils, Fire up a kiln or two, give some feedback to young kids about their works, give the ones you like the A+, then get paid for your 'hard work'. Sounds like a great profession to me. Dealing with young adults' complaints would pretty much be the only downside, and if you have a sense of humor, I'm sure you can pretty much make a joke out of anything the kids complain about.

Oh we have another crabby teacher for kilns and such. I don't like as much though, cause when he gets angry(which he does alot) his face turns SUPER red, it's scary.. xD
Well kids wouldn't complain if the teacher did what he was supposed in the first place, anywhoo.
I'd love to be an art teacher. I'd probably roll around in paint and throw myself at the walls.

Hahahaha, you might want to keep that a secret. Although some artists will see it as an expression of enthusiasm for your love of art, others may think you simply need to be institutionalized. if that happens, you'll be throwing yourself at padding rather than canvas, and the only color you will see will be the dull, icky gray of the cell...

However, now that I think about it, Making "Body Artwork" DOES sound like fun. xD

hahah tackling padded walls sounds even better.
I'd smuggle paints into an asylum and attack the walls anyways, and the guards would release me early in awe.

I know doesn't it? It's like mudsliding, only with paint, and vertically. We could team up xD
