That's a pretty detailed picture to do for me - and it was pretty exhausting.
Though knowing that it will later on be scanned unprofessionally I did at least two very stupid things. First: I used watercolours, second I toned down several highlights with light blue to make the portrait in the BG softly merge with the different blue and white tones of the sky. All in vain .
Now you can neither see these bluetones nor the shadings of the sky. The water is - corrupted! Everything white is far too white... My ultra carefully added fog is now some minor important blur and the multi shaded face...the face.... well... it's simply shaded now. ~_~

...and I knew all of that beforehand. Scanning kills all vibrant colours of Copic markers, it makes acrylics too red and it's totally impossible to scan watercolour picture - as this one is - and get an acceptable result at all.
I had no chance.

Watercolours, Din A3
featuring two "new" (hm, 4-year-olds, I guess...) characters and a horse that should look far more oriental. Used no reference. Always think to get horses as right as I should by heart. Call it stubborn. I like dawing them freehand.

Maybe I will somehow digitalise it anew and nicer. Someday.
