Description One of my last projects in ceramics this year! One of the most difficult for sure, but very fun and challenging. I used lots of slabs, and a molded bowl for the bottom of the teapot. There are also three more identical cups just like the one pictured. It is perfectly useable, and pours quite well, it's just a little heavy due to it's size... sorry I dont remember the name of the pink color, but it was a lowfire glaze, and the green was a mixture of dark kelp and light lime underglazes. Even though they're not really underglazes Some duncan concepts stuff..

How pretty! I would have loved a tea set like this when I was six or seven. That was when I was crazy about pink. I've used Duncan Concepts glazes. What are the dimensions of the pot and cups? How long did it take you to make the whole set? Oh, and congrats on being featured in the Spotlight article.

Well, the teapot itself is about 20" round and 7 1/2" tall. There are four cups, and each are 9 1/2" round and 4" tall. Altogether the whole set took about a month or a little more, building and glazing. The frustrating part was Thursdays and weekends when I didn't have class, because if I didn't wrap everything up just right, it would start to dry out. It all worked out though Thanks a bunch for taking the time to comment!

Neat! This was a really cool idea!

I like the detail of the rose petals and the leaves. It is definitely well-made.

I featured the tea set in this week's spotlight article - [link]

yeah I gotta admit it is pretty random, but we couldn't make just normal teapots, so I guess it turned out more interesting! Thanks for taking the time to comment!
