Because it's the perfect Pokemon. Well, until it doesn't evolve into Aromatisse... (ew... Srsly, I still can't believe the developers have turned Spritzee into this instead of a cool plague doctor Pokemon. They had everything for it!)
Anyway, this time I wanted to draw something simple, kind and peaceful. So I chose some Spritzees. Furthermore, they look just like they came straight out of the great Russian animated series called Smeshariki (Kikoriki/GoGoRiki), which roughly means "funny balls" (Sounds enough funny already 8D khem).

Exactly. In fact, I have a set of Fakemon design complete with evolutions that I created after Gen 7, and some of my friends told me they actually prefer these more than the Gen 8 starters we actually ended up getting! I mean, seriously, what would you rather have? A depressed lizard, or a punk-rock, mud-devouring platypus?
