Here is a multi-view image of the B-6 Prototype as featured in the Star Wars Rebels episode, “Wings of the Master.” While at first glance it may appear to be just another B-Wing with an orange paint scheme, the closer you look, the more differences (from the ROTJ B-Wing) you begin to notice.Related content

It's interesting to note how little and yet how much the production A-SF01A B-Wings differ from Quarrie's B6 development craft.

Well said! You don't really notice the changes until you really start to dig into the details. I didn't notice that differences until I started building it.

What strikes me is how large the 2nd battle cockpit was on the B6. From face first view, it's about as wide as the primary cockpit, and yet from front to back, it's so short.

How about the XG-1 Assault Gunboat from the X-wing games for the next fighter? Kind of a Lambda shuttle meets Y-wing ship. I'm quite fond of it myself.

Thanks! You're right, the Rebels could really use more of these awesome B-Wings. I guess it might be hard for the creative team at Star Wars Rebels to feature large numbers of this version of the B-Wing in upcoming episodes. Otherwise why don't we continue to see them in Return of the Jedi, etc. But you never know; creative teams can make almost anything happen if they want to. If nothing else, they could do a subtle retcon and say that the B-Wings in ROTJ did have the composite beam weapon, (we just never saw it used on screen.) Another angle would be to include an upgraded version of the B-Wing in upcoming "Force Awakens era" stories and movies. If an updated version of the X-Wing, Millennium Falcon, and A-Wings all continue to operate in this era of the First Order, it seems like they could do the same with the B-Wings. Just a little wishful thinking.

That's a good question! I'm starting to run out of fighters, (at least ones that interest me and that haven't already been done by everyone a million times.) Do you have any suggestions? At this point, I'm considering designing my own fighter, in the Star Wars style. My TIE Fighter design was very well received, so I thought I might try designing a Rebel/Mandalorian type fighter, and see how that goes. I have a few rough sketches, so it may be time to try building it in CAD.

If you running out of Star Wars Fighters go on to Battlestar Galactica Fighters and Stargate fighters and Babylon 5 Fighters you could do E wing T wing z95 Headhunter and z95 Hunter clone wars

I did the Classic Cylon Raider, my own variant of the classsic Cylon Centurian, and my own variant of the Viper. I built a Galactica too, but I don't think I ever posted any images of it. I should probably do that.

Could you do the standard vipers and Galactica and the Cylon basestar and ships from the TV series of Battlestar Galactica not the original don't get me wrong I love to see more original ships as well

I've been reluctant to built those sorts of models partly due to the fact that they have already been done so well by so many other folks. So, I'm curious. Why would you want me to build models of those when so many others have already done it? No pressure, I'm just curious.
