Description More Jessica. I really wish I wasn't stuck with a 4+ year old camera, 5 mp and the iso noise just wrecks things sometimes.

I really like this "back to basics" kinda vibe you've been showing us lately...& not necesarily limited to this model either.

& don't fret about your equipment, I've seen people produce killer stuff w/ nothing more than cardboard, duct tape, & a sheet of film paper. Its the "eye" that's more important, not the tools one uses.

Thanks I just do what I do whether it's strobes and splashing milk on a model at the spur of the moment or just going out to jessica's lovely loft and shooting pics. I never really put much thought in things, it just is what it is and if I can turn what that is into something beautiful then so be it.

I'll tell ya what...
You can bring the girls over to my place and I'll let ya use my 5D Mk. II. With 21 MP and ISO settings up to 6400 (or even higher, with expansion options), you can make some wall-sized prints. I'll take the first one!

ewww cannon haha but thanks tho. I really want to get one of the latest nikons so I can use it with all my lenses, plus I've grown really fond of the capture software.

Excuses, excuses. A lot of the guys I work with (at least those using those inferior Nikons! ) use D200s and D300s. I've heard good things about the D700, but my supervisor says it's not worth the price tag (then again, he said the same thing about my 5D Mk. II and I told him to stuff it.)

Do you use the Nikon software that comes packaged? Ever played with Lightroom? If not, give it a try! I started using it less than a year ago and it stole my heart. It speeds up the workflow like crazy and I don't even run some images through PS at all.

nah adobe has a bit of a prob converting my nikon raws with the right colour (tend to set everything at default), tried lightroom wasn't a fan, sure the exposure brush is neat and all that, but as you can see I am a photoshop wizard so that really isn't someting "to-live-for" in my eyes.

Not sure if it would correct the problem, but here's something you could try (if you were interested in giving it another run):

In Canon D-SLRs you can adjust the color space. The default is sRGB, but my company had all of us switch to Adobe RGB. My guess is that Adobe products (ie. Lightroom and PS) would have an easier time rendering those RAWs. Just a guess, though!

Your work is terrific, however, so maybe it's better that you keep doing whatever it is you're doing! Keep 'em coming, bud!

It reminds me of a hot boring summer day with nothing to do. Very nice shot. I feel your pane with your gear. I was stuck with a point and shoot for the most interesting trip of my life. There's nothing like having the right tools for the job to allow you to properly capture the moment. What your doing here is quite amazing, keep up the good work.
