Description
Genesis; strange, seemingly H.R. Giger inspired, creatures that inhabit the ventilation ducts of the B.S.L. station's main deck and [SRX]. Their highly acidic saliva drooled out of their mouths may fall through ceiling vents, directly onto unsuspecting victims traversing catwalks and hallways below. This was done as an entry to the Metroid-Database's Beastiary project, under the 'Metroid Fusion' section.

He looks like a fusion between a Licker from Res. evil and an alien from the Alien franchise.

Actually, since you mention it! The creators of Metroid Fusion did in fact reference Giger's 'Aliens' when creating the Genesis - I think it's most visible in the head shape and mouth.Β
The Licker influence was probably more on my end; I absolutely love the lickers, and the Genesis' anatomy, coupled with the way they moved, reminded me of them. ^ u ^Β

Thank you! I actually have a few others in progress right now. I am not allowed to post WIPs of them, but hopefully I'll have them all cleaned up and submitted to the Beastiary soon enough. : D

Aw thank you so much! I adore Metroid and monsters, so the fact that I can explore both subjects with this project is win/win.
Awesome new name by the way; is it from something?

I follow your work since 6 years ago or even more, your creatures, specially zebesians inspire me alot, they are spectacular
Its quite special to enjoy what you do :0 and you illustrate so good... Im studying illustration now and Im not half as good as you are D8 !!
Ohh the Imperator Valvanera name? Well yush... actually I developed a kind named Jovians (Took it from Gandrayda's race name).
I loved the way that character of Metroid prime 3 was developed and the skill to shapeshift, so it took me from 2008 and so on to create a race for myself. I ended with a massive world full of critters (My own creation, only took the "jovian" name). In that world there is a kind of modern monarchy (With the same system of Empress-Queen-Princess, but more developed)
that respects the order of the galactic federation.
The top title is Empress (For the females), Imperator is the title for the Yeins (Yein is the name for the herm-like gender that jovians have for males).
And my most beloved OC is named Valvanera, a Yein. Shi turns to be the next Imperator in line.
Sorry for the long story Tried to make it short, but it explains only a little.

Goodness, thank you so much for your kindness; wow! I really appreciate it and it's an absolute honor to hear that you've been inspired by my work over the years. That seriously just makes my heart feel great!
Art is all about expressing yourself, indulging in your desires, and inspiring others in any way your impacts them. It's a fantastic feeling to know that you've been able to do that. I'm certainly willing to bet that your art has done that for countless others.
I've seen your work improve so much over time and it's so great to see you continue learning and adapting new methods and techniques into your style. Your colours are so vivid and gorgeous! I still have not managed the courage to take on photoshop much more than I have, so I am stuck in place with my technique on colouring. I should certainly take your example and try to learn more about how to create depth, texture, and manipulate light source. You've definitely blossomed into a beautiful artist!! C :
And thank you for the background on your new name; the story sounds very interesting and I'd like to learn more if I could. I've seen some of the jovians in your gallery and they are such a cool looking race! I love the anatomy of their heads in particular. C :

Oh my.
Well yes c: YouΒ΄ve been inspiring me since several years, really and non-stop.
My inspirations are constantly changing and my situation is even worse everyday thatΒ΄s the only thing that sucks, besides that... my eyes are accustomed to everything else.
I'm quite happy to hear that you like my coloring! I'm stuck into my main coloring, but the next drawing I'm making will be colored in corel painter 12, hoping I can improve my style.
I LOVE your coloring style, is unique and the anatomy lines, the hue, the eyes and details... make me melt with any coloring of yours, even your lines are greater than mines, I really wish to learn your lineart style or how to you imagine such anatomy lines. My jovians are improving as my style does, their headcrown is the most peculiar of their traits, besides their color hybridization.
Its always nice to hear about you! Please don't forget to write anytime you can!

Not to mention the almost-too-phallic head they share with a certain Giger-created alien.
I MEAN THAT LOOKS AWESOME, RAVEN!

In the eye of the beholder, is what they say, I believe. C:
Or maybe it's all just a bunch of Freudian admissions pouring out all over the place. ...which may be entirely Freudian in itself.
Anyway! Thanks, RM! . w .
