Description 10 x 10 inchs (or there abouts) water color with a bit of ink.

The story of Medusa can be traced back through Roman and Greek mythology to north Africa where she was a strong African female icon. Political issues of roman times are important in reading the Roman version of Medusa. The Romans say Athena’s champion conquered the evil Medusa by cutting off her head. This ties directly back to
the suppression of females in ancient times and importance of conquering neighboring nations to the Romans.

Very nice, haunting & creepy version of Medusa. Great job. I'd love to see some other mythological beasts in this style.

I've been staring at this for a full five minutes. I really do love it.

The colour work is great, I love the background. Did you scratch in the white lines or paint them over?

Wow! Soo awesome! Thanks for asking! I used white ink with a nib pen when everything else was done...

This is gorgeous - I love the feeling of decay it has, and the way you've done the snakes is really cool.

"Oh.. Yea. Thanks." That didn't come out right. I sound ungrateful. Let me try again.

"Gorgeuos? Really? You think so? Thank you sooo much!. It makes me really happy that you sense decay in this.. It really makes me really really happy. I have the hardest time making creepy images. Everything always comes out much too happy. Thanks!."
