Finally made it. Hope you enjoy it.How would you feel if you stand between your past and future. Between the two powers. Light and darkness. When the darkness tries to eat your heart and the light no longer reaches you. If you yourself engulfed in your own power. How would you feel if you come to remember. Knowing that you've lost control. If you will forgive, but the past still rests in you. Can you resist the nightmares? Can you stand in front of the mirror and see yourself? Or do you see the shadow of the monster that you once were? Knowing that wherever light is darkness will prevail also. And even that you are standing between these powers. How would you feel? What will you do?

This form of contrast looks amazing.
I like the the description and I must say that I can write very , very long about this. (I love such a topics). It's forcing to think about it and make my own reflection.
In fact - our darker side mostly the tarue one (primal and divine alike) . If someone sees the darkness as the easiest way - then it's doomed. There is nothing about losing control. It's about defeating these nightmares and controlling them. If you defeat your fears and weakness then you're stronger.
But what if you don't have to fear it because you're becoming the source of it ?

It is a big theme. The darkness in us is a strong force, sometimes stronger as the light. But who gives up in the darkness will become a piece of the darkness, a monster of the inner fear. Who is strong an can fight against this, hold the power over the force, can be the master of this force, but is is hard. And often the way between been lost and be the master is tiny, a false step and you can fall. Who can overstand this task and face his/her own fears is a great person, and I think Luna is on a good way to become the master over the darkness, and with it over Nightmare Moon to.
For your question: Every person is the source of evil, of darkness and fear, everthing has it. We must learn to control this, and become stronger with it. This is a piece of us selfs, we can't get rid of this. So we have to learn to live with this dark side.

Yes. Luna after falling to her own desires has met her own "monster". She will never be able to do it again.

Ah, but there is another version... Chaos and evil arent uncontrolled actions and feelings, they are controlled disorder! Looking in the mirror reveals who you want to become, and i dont think its the sun she sees... There is no point in facing ones evil, the calling it gives away is a call to a tight bond between soul and power, almost of friendship... No more being looked down upon, time to look up at the sky and swear revenge!

With great power comes great responsibility. Unfortunately, Lauren Faust did not even know if it was her own power, which Luna has changed, or has been manipulated by an outside force. In any case she lost control of herself and was possessed by Nightmare Moon. It's certainly a nice idea and bring a lot of material for stories, if his finger had Discord in play.
Thanks to Lauren Faust, we know that after the release of Luna Moon Nightmare find once again their forces had. And this way has been difficult and probably also brought a lot of problems. She was locked away a thousand years. So she had to put her past and accept what she did. She first had to find herself again. The picture describes this very time. She has still not their strength. She still have to forgive herself and come to terms with all. Even if Nightmare Moon was defeated, it is still present in Luna. She will always be a part of Luna. Well, the easy path is allways the path of evil... From time to time, there is great danger, but playing your cards right brings victory easily... Luna has seen she cant get her deserved respect by an all out war, but there are ponies that enjoy the night more than the day... She could form a dark cult of her own, and an underground elite army... A well placed coop would give Luna reign over Equestria... Nightmare Moon will allways be a part of Luna, but that part represents the ultimate form of her power and glory... She should embrace her true nature and let the hate flow...
