These two Marmots put on a great modeling session with several different poses. I think they were as interested in us as we were in them.Mt. Rainier National Park, Washington

Oh they are all over the place in the high alpine elevations. They are always fun to watch.

I've never seen one of those before. They are so cute.. kinda like huge guinea pigs.

Wonderful capture! I was hiking on the Dead Horse trail with my younger son. He was pointing out the marmots since he spotted them first. I missed a "fist fight" between two since I had my camera set on aperature priority (f16, got a picture but quite blurred). My older son caught one eating the wildflowers the day before. I remember watching these guys back in 1982 when I first went to Mt Rainier. For sure I will go back!
