Description please read!

this is NOT a how to draw tutorial
its a tutorial of how i get rid of my art block
when i get an art block .. i seriously feel like i forgot how to draw
and what better way to remember than to trace back your steps
and thats what i do to break my block
its a really simple tutorial because its really easy to break an art block
it may seem hard but taking it slow you'll get to the finish line with pride ;3

lets get in to the detail more

Basing/Tracing
like what i said in the tutorial no one was born knowing how to talk or write
you slowly need to copy or imitate others and thats what i used to do when i was little
i traced pictures i liked and most of them are inuyasha pictures
thats why my style is close to it :3

so when i get an art block my anatomy my poses EVERYTHING just gets so messed up
i calmly take some pictures online and base them
i dont EXACTLY trace them as you can see
i only trace the pose aka draw a base skeleton on the drawing then draw the head neck and shoulders cuz those are kinda my start point
then hide the back image so i only have the skeleton then i slowly draw the anatomy/body on the skeleton if i start getting a block i put back the back image/ref then tr again till i get the hang of it

Copying
this is an easy step
just use the same refs or different refs from the ones you used for tracing and copy them
NOT TRACE OR BASE IT!!
put it on one side and copy it
that would get your hand and drawing working to break the block

Going solo
yep last step is that you try to create your own poses o3o
this maybe the hardest step but after taking the 2 first steps you'll find it moving faster with you than not doing those 2 steps
what makes it a little hard is figuring out where things start end and connect
so thats why i'd suggest you using anatomy refs of the human body (or furry, anthro etc)
or just look in the mirror~

and thats how i get rid of my art block it helps out alot and i hope it helps you too
any questions dont be shy to ask through comment or note

It might not be a tutorial but this sure is handy! *w* And it's great to see how you practice this way! And how you picked some hard poses too, woohh good job Ray! 8D Here too I often soo some hips that are (a bit) too small, I guess you do so automatically :') Look at the Kagome you traced at the topright: You didn't even traced right over her right leg, because you made her hip too small, making her upperlegs smaller too
(sorry for nitpicking so much T^T)

Anyway, this sure do is helpfull (:

haha thanks! hope it will be helpful to others as well :3

lol its ok owo what i did at the kagome pose is try to remember what the pose looked like instead of simply tracing
i do that sometimes to help me remember how anatomy works

Defiantly a great way to get rid of art block, and to get a great sense of anatomy and proportions. What you do is certainly not new. But, a great way to one up some skills.
