Okay, I overall really like the composition of the piece, along with the fur texture and how you can tell the lighting is there even without color. C=
I would add a few strands of fur along the highlight on Mr. Squirrel's back, to add some more texture, but this is fantastic for freehand, Z! Magnificent!
(btw I still haven't used the scratchboards you sent me, saving 'em for something special. C= Probably a striped beastie of some sort, a zebra or cat of some sort)

C= Glad you liked my suggestion, Fur tends to catch sunlight so it would be noticeable there.
