And just like that, the age of Rubiard's reign ended like the Sun ended the day. The God of Life was no more.A entry for 's Ultimate Character Contest . I do recommend entering if you want to draw intresting characters
I worked on this for a month lol. As soon as I had a good thumbnail of what I wanted, the rest fell together perfectly. This was done with a slightly new change in my style, as well as backgroud practice. I'm exceedingly proud of my rocks and the clouds. ^^

I like how you kept the focus on the character and not the rocks closer to the "camera" (they're a tinge out of focus). The lighting is beautiful on this one and I agree that you did well on the clouds

Thank you! Lol yeah I focused mainly on the character's body and head shape which was fun. He was always the main focus so I always went back to tweak stuff to make sure nothing took away from him. I also looked up like several tutorials on rock and shading boulders before I even began to tackle them.
All in all it was fun!

WOW! This is an incredibly entry of Rubiard, Dear! I especially love the sunset colors playing on him. The pose is excellent, and the mood generated is very soft, yet dramatic. Has a very depressing feel. Fantastic work!
