Re: the release date being dubious... alls I can say is to check GameStop's website. It ships August 29th :3 (however having worked there before I can confirm that this means MOST places will have it in the 30th instead.)

Everyone keeps saying August 29th... and I'm not entirely sure if that is officially confirmed, but I think someone from the localiztion team for Namco said that date is right... don't quote me on that!

meh, the second one is very meh. I'm a huge, very obsessed Xenosaga fan, and even I had a hard time getting through the second one. The third seems to be a whopper of a story though (not much in terms of gaming though, I hear... but I think most Xenofans have figured out that gameplay doesn't seem to be the series' main priority)
