Description I was desperate for shooting trains and as the sun was setting I decided to take the picture anyways. I did like the H2 sandwich I saw but I wish it was spring and a little sunnier.

A very different shot from the norm. Something you don't see hardly ever, and well worth it.

Thanks, it was a little too late in the day for this but it still works.

This is killer lighting. Well done. I'm still trying to find railfans in Heidelberg. I can't even seem to find any who speak German...let alone English.

Thanks, I hope find lots of new friends there. There has got to be a group that know a little English, you could also eventually learn a little German!

I already speak enough German to get by. The challenge is learning the local "Swabian" dialect, which is much more difficult than the High German I learned in school and Berlin.

Well that's good, at least you won't be lost with the people you meet. It took my wife about 6 months before she was fluent in Spanish after being forced to speak it. She learned that fast because there wasn't anyone she could talk to in English. Speaking it only and depending on it really forced her to focus.

Well I hope you do meet lots of great people!

I can't wait for some good summer shoots. I miss sitting by the tracks, swapping stories while waiting for the next train.

Hey, I think it's a great shot. And the late day sun makes interesting lighting. Late day or early morning are my favorite times to shoot.

They are the best but in the winter the color needs to be corrected big time. This shot had way too much red in it but I corrected it best to what the lighting was like that day. Thanks for the response.

Actually I think this orange lighting makes for a very interesting effect.
