First time experimenting with pastel pencils, a bit unsure about it at first but then it worked out allright I think.Please leave feedback below!

Well this is a beautiful work indeed. But since my job here is to say things maybe you should take a look upon, lets get started.
I question a bit the lightning you used on this picture. It covers all the clothing below but it doesn't seems to affect the fur on the same way.
The shadow on the face which degrades to black is something that I would also question. if the light comes from the right on a way it could highlight his hair on that way, then I believe it would be possible to see more of his face, including a bit of its ear.
The skin colour seems to work, however In theory I would say that adding more red tones to his face would grow warmer, less pale and it would add more to realism.
The fur direction also doens't feels alright on the top of his shoulder as it looks the flow suddenly stops on an unatural way.
Lastly I beleive I could take a look over the metal parts of the armor. While they do are pretty well drawn and have a sense of depth nicely done it doesns't feels its attached to the armor on any way, as if it were just floating in front of it, literally just glued.

It did more than work out. It's wonderful! Your skin tones came out very nice, and I like how the shades are done in the hair. It's very realistic looking.

This is really nice, especially for pastel. You definitely captured Thorin's essence in this piece. I like how you colored the fur, as well as his expression. Your technique is great! Keep up the fantastic work.
