I really liked the pose of AJ sliding in the season premier, but someone already made a vector of her doing it. So made Derpy slide instead! Just so you guys know, making her eyes lie she would normally have them in this angle is pretty tough. I just went with them being normal, please don't be mad.
Also, her eyelashes are technically wrong because they should be rounded off, so this is not show accurate. Sorry for this, I just like how pointy eyelashes look more on a pony, and if it means that the vector isn't show accurate, that's fine by me.Β

Her element is actually the Element of Hope. Being the way she is, Derpy has always had a cruel life, for those obvious reasons you can guess. But in the show, even after she makes a mistake, it doesn't get her down. She doesn't get depressed. This is because out of anypony else, she truly believes in the future to be as bright and cheery as she is. She has the hope necessary to live her life day to day, and always know in the back of her mind, that no matter how rough things may get, there's always hope that things will get better. Hope that her daughter, Dinky, will live on to become much better than she herself could be.Β
Derpy herself is the hope that despite how cruel and wicked life or others can be, there's always a chance for happiness in the end.Β

They should have another element of harmony, and that should be Derpy.

I personally prefer the idea of a Background 6, opposed to a Mane 6, with Derpy being the Element of Hope within the group. She's fit in a lot better with them.
