Description New ref sheet for Vernox.

Yes, I used lineart. I like it for refs when it suits the character. Charms and beads not included on ref forgot...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Name: Vernox (Nox, for short)
Sex: Stallion
Age: About 14
Breed: Draft mix
Height: 16.2hh
Distinguishing Features: Slight Roman nose, beaded mane and fetlock, gold cresent moon charm.
Discipline: N/A
Herd Status: Storyteller/Advisor
Personality: Very calm and quiet. Always listening and observing the world around him. Has a healthy respect for humans, but does not fear them. Grandfatherly towards other horses.
History: Born during the day to a free-roaming shire-and-Vanner-mix mother on the Vernal Equinox, he was named Vernox for the auspicious time of his birth. The rest of the herd could only speculate as to his paternity - his mother wasn't telling who the gangly foal's sire was. His unique coloring proved he couldn't belong to any of the herd's stallions, and the other foals shunned him for it. As a result, Vernox learned to listen more than he spoke and he learned to watch the world around him with a studious eye. When he came of age, he was driven from his birth herd according to nature's laws. For years he roamed; sometimes he sheltered with a bachelor band; sometimes he trekked on alone for months on end. Once he wintered on the edge of a sprawling ranch, spending the snowy days trading stories with domesticated horses over a paddock fence. These tame horses never wondered about his questionable paternity, so he found it easier to talk with them. The fenced-in horses seemed to be amazed by his tales of the wild - it was then that Vernox learned he had a gift for recalling all of life's events and spinning them into wonderful stories. From then on, he made it a point to listen and watch ever closer so he could tell his stories to any horse he met.
During that same winter, Vernox spied a strange, pale creature that walked upright and made the oddest variety of sounds he had ever heard. A human foal, a child, the ranch horses told him. At first, Vernox fled whenever the child came to the paddock to play with the other horses. However, by the time the snow was thick and hock-deep on the ground, the large stallion had let the child offer him a bit of carrot. By the time the snows began to melt, he was standing quietly while the child patted his mane and tied bright baubles into it. The little human even wove some beads into the silky feathering around his enormous hooves. On the first day of spring, the child secured a pretty gold chain and charm into his thick forelock, patted his spotted coat, and went away forever. A bad sickness, said the ranch horses. When winter came again, Vernox took his leave.
Summers followed winters around and around in a circle for years on end. Vernox listened. He learned. He shared his stories as he wandered the great lands. He never stayed in one place for too long. Though he was still young and still a proud and healthy stallion, he had yet to sire a foal. There was still too much to be seen, too much to be told.
Now, well into his fourteenth spring, he has decided to settle down. He has found a herd of young and somewhat troubled horses in need of his wisdom. A chestnut stallion, a dunskin paint, a gray mare, three painted youngsters: they need his guidance and his stories to become a strong and thriving herd.
How did you do the brown in the mane and tail, and how did you do the markings?
And thank you. I adopted him from *kalmakoira though, so she gets all the credit for his coat pattern. I just tweaked his rump spots at little, hehe.
