Description This one sat open on my iMac in Photoshop for weeks while I dodged a bit here and burned a bit there. I'm not really sure I'm thrilled with the final result, but I lack the artistic talent to do much more with it. It's a tricky photo since there is an incredibly bright spot on one side and dark shadow on the other. The water splashing on my lens and the horrible vignetting caused by my variable ND filter didnt help either (teaching moment here: dont buy variable ND filters).

ANYWAY...I think there are some very nice aspects to this photo too, so I hope you too can find something to enjoy. Thanks for taking a look.

I like this, it would fit quite nicely in the realm of Mordor. It looks warm and inviting but there's something troubling lurking beyond the horizon just waiting to devour anyone or anything approaching the light. Almost like a lantern fish enticing it's pray just before the attack.
