Putting this up to see what the response is like.

Years ago I was taking photos on a remote beach on Kauai when I noticed rocks along the shore just heavy enough to avoid being pulled back into the ocean by the waves. 🌊

The swirling water creates wakes behind the stones into which different gradients of sand would form pattens.

Thinking of these as “sand angels” and delighted by how unique each one was, I shot an entire series of them one afternoon with the intent of putting them together into a collection 👼🏻 I never got around to working on them until now.
