Hi! I've featured this deviation in my Sunday Features journal this week.

If you have any objections, just let me know and I'll remove your piece from the journal.

I saw flowers in it... lilies or something...

The design reminds me of butterfly wings whether you intended that or not. It has a nice effect......I like that you can see through it. I also think it really has a sci fi feel to it as well.

hey thanks! Well I'm glad you see something other than just holes. I made up the design though. :]

This is quite beautiful. Carving out so much is tricky work. Outstanding job.

This is too cool! May I ask--how much do you let it dry, if at all, before you cut out the spaces? How do you cut them, that many spaces, without it breaking?

thanks! i draw out the design first on the clay. I keep the piece covered with light-thin plastic in areas im not working on. I cut it with an Xacto knife and you have to do it all in one go. you do it when its leatherhard and try not to touch it much.

sounds difficult! Beautiful results, though!
