So first off I have to say is that this drawing is a very stunning and brilliant piece. It kinda gives me a little jolt each time I look at it. The shading is amazing, and I like how you made the character darker than the fire to make them stand out, and also how you made the light shine through the gaps in their legs. It really gives this piece a lot more depth by showing how the fire is blazing behind and around them.
The flames themselves are very sinister and evil looking; you made them thin and had them reach out a little at the character. It kinda reminds me of those trees in the haunted house movies, where the branches look like they could grab the characters at any given moment.
The tree shading could've been done a bit better. You have to remember that tree bark is not smooth. It's cracked and porous, and has many different layers to it. When you first shaded the tree laying on the ground, I almost though that it was a pile of brown river stones. Just type 'tree bark' into Google and go stare at some tree bark for a while. That's what I just did while trying to find you a decent bark tutorial. xD
Ok, now onto the character's emotion. In the description you said that you were trying to convey rage and betrayal, but I see fear and anxiety instead. The character looks as if it's trapped (I mean, they're surrounded by freaking fire, and a fallen tree is blocking their path to escape). If you wanted to convey rage, then you should've made the eyebrows come down more, have the lips pulled back into a snarl, pull the ears to the back of the head (not the side) and then maybe have the character look back behind them into the forest as if someone had betrayed them and purposefully set the forest on fire. Also, remember that the eye shape changes depending on the shape of the face. Looking at the eyes alone (I covered up the rest of the picture), the character looks shocked, almost as if they're on the verge of tears. Either way, both the emotions of fear or anger would would well with this piece.
Some extra things I wanted to say:
I love how chaotic the piece looks, with the weird viewing angle and the flames going everywhere.
Dem glowing eyes add a nice touch.
I love the body position!
The grass is cool looking.
The forest is dark and sinister and I love et :'D

Overall, i think this is a very well rounded critique and i'm thankful for all the feedback! The only thing i would like to explain is why i made the trees look that way, i often draw them very differently. (As seen here ((oh god those are old and terrible but they're the closest example i have to what i draw now that's up-loaded ;A; )) I was going for a very stylistic look with this piece. I was actually going of another artist's style, from a M.A.P. i watched. (WE ALL STILL DIE) One artist (MAYPLE SYRUP or somehting) had a super cool way of drawing trees i wanted to replicate, but i seem to have failed XD. Anyway that why the trees look so strange, so i understand your reasoning XD

Once again, FANTABULOUS WORK!
The first thing I noticed here was the firey color scheme. The grass, the trees, and the rocks all complement the fire nicely.
Next is the perspective. It's a bit confusing with the angle you used, but in a good way. For combined with the title, it provides a kind of warped perspective, as if this was a traumatizing or strongly felt moment.
The lightingis very, VERY nice. The white fire still comes off as having amber color due to the surrounding environment, and the lighting makes it look very bright and intense; blazing with energy.
