Hi!Here is the only sketch I remembered to take a photo of from Oz Comic Con in Adelaide last weekend.
Venom is a really fun character to draw! I think he likes the taste of Spideys head.
Sob Story... I mean, back story: I actually almost gave up drawing this one as I wasn't feeling it at the time. Thankfully I was given some encouragment from my buddies David Yardin and Freddie Williams II and I kept going. Sometimes it is really hard to see what you are actually doing and how it looks from someone elses perspective. Now I quite like how it turned out and my customer was also very happy to own the original. So, high fives all around I guess?
In any case, I'm really glad I did finish it, and I hope you guys like it!

yeah...I just couldn't see the piece for what it was as I was working on it. Kind of weird how that happens. There are things I would have polished up had it not been a con sketch, but then again, thats kind of the charm of these things. They have a rawness about them, which is why I think people like to see sketches sometimes over finished art.

Hahaha isn't that the way it always is with sketches?! :-P ANd you're totally right, I think the charm of these is the unfinished rawness of them. I have to keep that in mind now when I do sketches at cons!
Things have been good! Just plugging away making books and trying to keep everyone happy, as usual. :-P Been getting out to a few cons this year with my art collective and trying to promote our personal art & projects as well. It's been a good learning experience!
