Description
Skeleton KeyKey project for jewelry casting class. It was supposed to be a quick and simple project. We were to mold and cast an object, such as a shirt button, add a shaft and key/teeth at the end. Being me... I had to make it 10X more difficult. I had a skull from an action figure, made the mold and casted it in wax. problem was it was too small and the teacher didn't like it. So I had to re-sculpt the whole thing larger from scratch. So the whole key was sculpted by me... skull, arm, and hand. Thought it would be funny if the hand was making a "sign"

It might be a while. It is turning out to be more complex then I imagined in my head. I tend to make things as difficult as possible

Oh hey, woah! That's a really cool design there. Do you have everything to make these on a regular basis? key-based art for people to buy as jewelry kicks ass. Different types of bone keys, you could really be on to something.

The hand was actually straight before and you could see it better. But my teacher said it should look more like a key so I turned the hand down.

You just got to figure out what the lock should look like... Perhaps another skull, just push the key into the eye socket turn it and the jaw... drops down. Though that would be unpractical unless you were storing a precious little item in there like a ring.
