i'm safer than it appears. if you look at this picture, [link] , i am right across the pit from him for "tiger32". it is deep, and wide enough that i don't feel threatened.

i usually can't get to that spot because the zoo's little train runs right through there. i really don't think i was supposed to be standing there, but there was nobody to stop me!
