Thank you It is made with air-drying clay. For polymer clay you would need heat-proof tapes.

The straps are just small leather tapes (sorry, don't know a better english word ^^) - The kind used for necklaces or as wristbands sometimes. I think it should also work with thick craft felt, I have never tried this. But you have additional work with cutting the felt I think... And maybe the straps will break if the felt is too thin? I really don't know much about craft felt... ^^

oh leather straps! that's the word you're looking for ^^ (the english word of it) yea i have a crap ton of that, and had no idea what to do with it all also would it work if i hot glued the leater to the clay for added strength?

Ah! I have to update my vocabulary Oh, hot glue is good, but if you put the straps under a layer of clay they get really stable, don't worry. ^^ And with hot glue there is a possibility to get ugly seeable glue-parts... (the gauntlet pieces sometimes are really tiny...)

ah okay. i'm thinking of making one of the hand weapons the goa'uld used in stargate (if you watch the show) and this is just perfect for that. (though i may attempt one in chain mail to make it more like that one) but there is a palm peice to it so it may get tricky there

That looks GOOD! Yes, that palm piece could be a bit tricky to add - but not impossible. Only for this piece I would choose colored polymer clay (I don't know if you know Fimo Transparent? It doesn't get really transparent after baking, but it looks nice!) - that would make a cool effect. I am making a mask right now with fiery eyes made of this clay, I will upload it when it's done

yea that one. actually i'm gonna glue a red gem in the palm peice instead so it catches the light
