yoes, but a bit more beastish dousnt do this thing justice, its absolutely awesome work, and i guess a beast in english is a bit more of an agressive animal

I really love your pred's did you ever finished this one?
And have you done any more pred's or Alien sculptures since this W.I.P one?

Thank you! ^^
Well...I added the dreads and baked it but not anything more. I made some other sulpts too but turned out way bad...
...At the moment I have a predator head to finish up. I have to make the dreads and then paint it. Though itΒ΄ll have to wait until IΒ΄ve completed a sculpture commission.

Cool, thanks for the in tell.
I'm currently doing a pred fix up and its somewhat difficult for me when it comes to their bodies. I feel like they are thick super heavy creatures, so trying to express that as well showing that yes they are super fast too and show lost of personality with the face.
Then I was searching how others sculpt their perds, and everyone seems to like to do everything is pieces instead of keeping it one piece.
Thank you for sharing.

About their bodies being very heavy, I agree. Personally I like lean body types. The predator from the first movie is probably the one I prefer amongst the different designs. ^^
IΒ΄d like to be able to sculpt everything in one piece, most likely things would look better...but then IΒ΄d really have trouble fitting the thing in the oven IΒ΄ve got.

How do you do apply the arms and legs to the body without it falling apart on you?

redtrackz In reply to AngelitaRamos [2008-07-30 17:39:21 +0000 UTC]
Thank you. ItΒ΄s not complete yet, no dreads. Though, theyΒ΄ll probably be plain without accessories.
Well..there is a predalien head there..somewhere. Hehe..
I started sculpting a about year ago, but IΒ΄ve been drawing my entire life I guess...
This thing will only be a bust. When attatching arms, I eighter have an armature inside the whole thing, or I chose to just stick the arm right on to the body (arm will have a wire inside though to maintain shape) May not be much help but yeah..

Thanks..yeah I've been noticing how many others work in great detail and they choose to work in parts.
But I'm always afraid that it will tear right off, that it will be to heavy to stay.
Down on my pred. there is about 7 screws fastened to the base to make sure he doesn't go anywhere.
Thank you for your suggestions.

Very very cool I'm doing one my self its taking forever. But I will get there. It this Pred. done yet if you don't mind me asking?
Check my Pred. and tell me what you think, that is if you would like too.
But wow...I wanna do more to my pred after seeing yours. And is there an alien? I thought I saw an alien head or an predalien on the corner on the picture there.
I'm so excited to see the end result. very very cool.
I love your style as well. Have you been doing this for sometime?

Well..itΒ΄s cheaper and it kind of makes the sculpt easier to handle..it becomes less unstable.
So, it works like an armature for me...

Thank you so much! I felt that I wanted to do something that was a bit different, meaning I was too lazy to follow the original design..
