I'm really not sure what to write about this piece... It was an image that's been burning in my brain for a long time now and I finally gave in. I used a few googled images as references but still, I just had to get it out.

I don't know if I'll have to restrict comments on this, because I know the subject matter is a bit touchy, but... for now I'll let you guys talk, because talking needs to happen with some things, just keep it civil.

Civil because... there are two sides to the issue. On the one hand, the animals are in a very confined space compared to their natural habitat, while on the other... if we don't see things up close we don't grasp the full grandeur, we don't understand it, we don't learn from it, and we don't fall in love with it. To read about a creature in a book is one thing, but to see it with your own eyes is something else entirely.
