ooooh, he looks so soft, like I could reach out and touch his feathers.
And then he could eat my fingers for lunch!

That's pretty good, I can lose myself and spend an hour just on an eye if I am not careful! Especially if I am in front of the tv.

I have to watch out for that, I used to do it too.. but since I'm trying to make a living now.. well I have to keep the time spent down to a minimum

Lol cool, I love hawks and falcons. One of my dad's friends hunts with red-tailed hawks and he takes in hurt birds and raises them. He's had peregrine falcons, and even a crow. It's awesome.

The reference photo I used is referred to as "Red-tailed Hawk".. I'm hoping they weren't lying

lol yuh ^_^ the only reason it looks like a kestrel or falcon is the beak is short, it could be the angle, but hawks tend to have litte amount of feather between their eyes and beak, could be the angle though as i said its still great work ^_^

Nicely rendered. The highlights on the feathers work well. Could do with more depth in the mid-section though. Great work.

Yeah I think so too. The bird in my reference photo does have that same feel though, so either I fake the depth or go with it as it is.. I think I'll just leave it

awesome! remind me of what i used to draw..anyway, just a little thought, the head and feet, esp. the feet, seem extremely real, but the part between the head and the part where the legs are seem just a little 'flat'. (do u call it chest?) still, it's one of the best bird pics i've ever seen

This is a lovely picture. I love the birds beak and claws . I like how you've defined the feathers.
