the different color in boots is probably a mess up of trying to light up the boots or shadow them.

Also, I've seen a lot of back eye coloring, and mainly throughout the show, comics and probably soon to be in the movie will the back of the eyes be colored based on the irkens main eye color. Tak, obiously, will have the color purple on the back of her eyes. Probably with black lining to them.

Huh.... It's remarkable how inconsistent a character can be, even in the same shot. did they just have multiple animators working on the same shot, or did they just get lazy and subtract details they didn't deem important? (they got REALLY lucky it's not super noticeable while watching the episode). I have to wonder what her original model sheet was like- what if the stripes on her sleeves AREN'T supposed to be there? what if there are actually 8 lines on her implant instead of 4? maybe her boots ARE supposed to be grey?! What's an error, and what isn't?!
Of course, it's not nearly as bad as other characters get it- Skoodge literally looks different in every episode he appears, for example, and the things they forget on him are obvious and cause EXTREME confusion amongst fans!

My fav error is when they forget to draw pants (seen this happen to five different characters lol), makes everything look super pervy and awkward.
Zim was animated in Korea, so you can likely blame the errors on Koreans. In Walk of Doom there's a giant cop that walks by with thundering footsteps, Steve Ressel commented that he was actually meant to be of normal height, but the Koreans fucked up the perspective so bad when they animated it that he looked ridiculously huge. Instead of sending it back to get fixed Jhonen just ordered them to add those loud steps to make fun of it.
Still, these mistakes wouldn't happen if the American studios just animated their shows at home. I've seen both fans and people in the industry who lament this system. Americans can't hone their skills in animation because they leave it all to the Koreans, as such the Americans only gain experience in writing and story boarding, and so many shows end up extremely boring to look at because they're directed by people with little knowledge about actual animation.

Wow, I actually took screen caps when trying to draw Tak before, but I wasn't aware of those animation errors! This is pretty useful!

lol, I took over a hundred screencaps of her for reference when I drew her model sheet.
May seem obsessive, but to be a good animator one must be obsessive.
